(N2L) Nail Artistry - Salon Nail Extension

    1. Competition Rules

 

(1) Competition Content

    1. On-Site Completion: Participants must complete nail extensions on the index finger and middle finger of the left hand during the competition. Nail extensions and gel application for the thumb, ring finger, and pinky finger must be completed prior to the competition.
    2. Steps:
    • Extension Shaping: Use builder gel to create nail extensions for the index and middle fingers. The extended portion must not exceed 2 cm.
    • Single-Color Gel Application: Apply red gel polish to the extended portion and complete the look with a top coat.
    • Top Coat Application: Apply top coat gel to all nails to achieve a smooth and glossy finish.
    1. Completion Requirements:
    • All nails must have a uniform almond shape, with even thickness and a C-curve of 30%–40%.
    • Shine buffers or other products to enhance gloss are prohibited.

 

(2) Competition Time

    • The competition duration is 30 minutes. All actions must be completed within the time limit.

 

(3) Contestant Grooming Requirements

    1. Dress Code: Contestants must wear the uniform provided by the organizer, paired with appropriate pants and shoes to reflect a professional image.
    2. Hair Requirements: Hair must be neatly styled, clean, and well-groomed. If the hair is long, it may be tied back to maintain cleanliness and professionalism.
    3. Overall Appearance: Contestants must maintain a tidy and clean appearance, without excessive accessories or heavy makeup, to ensure a professional look.

 

(4) Tools and Products

    1. Tools: UV/LED lamp, nail forms or tips, sculpting sticks, metal tweezers, fine-grit nail file, manicure towels, wet wipes, cuticle pushers, cuticle nippers, alcohol wipes.
    2. Products: Builder gel (transparent or pink), red gel polish, top coat gel, cuticle remover oil, nail surface cleanser, hand cream, cuticle oil, disinfectant.
    3. Extension Cords: Contestants must bring their own extension cords; the organizer will only provide one electrical outlet per participant.

 

(5) Prohibited Actions

    1. Extensions exceeding 2 cm are prohibited.
    2. Pre-made nail tips or molds are not allowed.
    3. Shine buffers or other products to enhance gloss are prohibited.
    4. The use of unsterilized tools or products is not allowed.
    5. Pre-treatment of the index and middle fingers of the model’s left hand (e.g., cuticle cleaning, nail surface shaping) before the competition is prohibited.
    6. Changing the model or performing non-specified tasks on the model’s hand during the competition is not allowed.

 

2. Model Requirements

(1) Model Conditions

Participants must bring their own models. Models must be female with healthy hand skin, free of severe sensitivity or allergic reactions.

    • The nails on the index and middle fingers of the model’s left hand must not exceed 0.5 cm in length and must be natural (no artificial nails or polish).

 

(2) Model Clothing

    1. Style Requirements:
    • Models should wear simple and elegant attire, such as solid-colored dresses or a shirt and trousers. Clothing must be appropriate.
    1. Prohibited Attire:
    • Revealing clothing is not allowed.

 

3. Safety and Hygiene

(1) Tools and Products

    1. All tools (e.g., cuticle pushers, sculpting sticks, UV lamps) must be cleaned and sterilized with heat or alcohol before use.
    2. Tools and products used during the competition must meet international safety standards.

 

(2) Work Area Cleanliness

    1. Contestants must ensure that their workstations (tables and chairs) are tidy, with no tools, products, or waste left behind.
    2. After the competition, contestants should promptly clean up their tools and products and restore the workstation to a tidy condition.

 

4. Competition Process

(1) Pre-Competition Preparation

    1. Contestant and Model Check-in:
    • Contestants must arrive at the designated area with their model at least 15 minutes before the competition starts for check-in.

 

(2) Competition Segment

    1. Competition Start: Contestants have 30 minutes to complete all actions.
    2. Competition End: Contestants must stop immediately when time is up. Any unfinished work will not be counted in the scoring.

 

(3) Model Presentation

1. Contestants are not required to move the model. The model should remain standing or sitting in their original position while waiting for evaluation by the judge
