(1) Competition Content

1. 1. Retro Hairstyle Cutting: The contestant will precisely cut the model’s hair, including adjusting the layers, refining the hairline, and controlling the volume. The cut must faithfully represent the characteristics of classic men’s retro hairstyles (e.g., voluminous top like a pompadour, sharp side parting).
   2. Styling: After the haircut, the contestant will complete the styling using techniques such as blow-drying, combing, and applying hair oils to set the hairstyle. The hairstyle must fully present the defining features of the classic retro look.
   3. Overall Styling Coordination: The hairstyle must harmonize with the model’s face shape, overall demeanor, and style, fully reflecting the retro theme.

(2) Competition Time

• • The competition duration is 30 minutes. All actions must be completed within the time limit.

(3) Contestant Grooming Requirements

1. 1. Dress Code: Contestants must wear the uniform provided by the organizer, paired with appropriate pants and shoes to reflect a professional image.
   2. Hair Requirements: Hair should be neatly groomed, clean, and well-kept. If the hair is long, it may be tied back to ensure cleanliness and a professional appearance.
   3. Overall Appearance: Contestants must maintain a tidy and clean appearance, without excessive accessories or heavy makeup, to ensure a professional look.

(4) Tools and Products

1. 1. Tools: Scissors, small comb, round comb, electric clippers, blow dryer, etc.
   2. Products: Styling spray, hair oil, hair wax.
   3. Extension Cords: Contestants must bring their own extension cords; the organizer will only provide one electrical outlet per participant.

(5) Use of Color

• • The model’s hair may be dyed in natural colors (e.g., black, brown, chestnut, blonde) to match the retro theme.
  • The dyeing must be even and natural. The use of dyeing products to cover up technical flaws or model’s hair quality issues is prohibited.

(6) Model Preparation Requirements

• • Any hair dyeing (if applicable) must be completed before the competition. Contestants must ensure the model’s hair color adheres to the rules.

(7) Prohibited Actions

1. 1. The use of wigs or hair extensions to fully cover the hairstyle design is prohibited.
   2. Any pre-styling or trimming of the model’s hair before the competition is prohibited.
   3. The use of overly bright or non-retro-themed hair colors (such as neon or fluorescent colors) is prohibited.

2. Model Requirements

(1) Model Conditions

Participants must bring their own male model, and the model’s hair must be healthy with no obvious scalp damage.

• • The side hair length must be at least 3 cm, and the top hair length must be at least 8 cm to allow flexibility in cutting and styling.

(2) Model Clothing

  • Business style (a formal shirt without a tie or a single suit jacket).

(3) Work Area Cleanliness

1. 1. Contestants must ensure that their workstations (tables and chairs) are tidy, with no tools, products, or waste left behind.
   2. Hair dropped during the competition will be cleaned by designated staff, and contestants are not required to handle this.
   3. After the competition, contestants should promptly clean up their tools and products and restore the workstation to a tidy condition.

4. Competition Process

(1) Pre-Competition Preparation

• • Contestants must arrive at the designated area with their model at least 15 minutes before the competition starts for check-in.

(2) Competition Segment

1. 1. Competition Start: Contestants have 30 minutes to complete all actions.
   2. Competition End: Contestants must stop immediately when time is up. Any unfinished work will not be counted in the scoring.

(3) Model Presentation

1. 1. Contestants are not required to move the model. The model should remain standing or sitting in their original position while waiting for evaluation by the judges.
