MIVA Asia Barber Competition Guideline​​

(G6P) Barber - “The New Dimension of Fashion” Creative Poster Design

    1. Competition Rules

(1) Poster Content

    1. Close-up of Hairstyle: Clearly showcase the hairstyle’s lines, layers, and technical details.
    2. Half-body Shot of Model: Display the overall coordination between the hairstyle and the model’s clothing.
    3. Model Angle: The angle should fully showcase the structure and details of the hairstyle, especially the layers, transitions, and cutting effects. The angle should ensure clear visibility of the hairstyle without distortion or obstruction.
    4. Model Requirements: The model must be male.

 

(2) Photography Requirements

    • Creative Freedom: Contestants are free to choose the composition, lighting, and background based on their creative vision. Bold innovation is encouraged, and personal style should be prominently displayed. Props, special effects, or background elements can be used to enhance the creative expression.

 

(3) Poster Size and Medium

    1. Size Requirement: The poster must be A2 size (420mm x 594mm).
    2. Printing Medium: All posters must be printed on 5mm thick foam boards to ensure a consistent display quality.
    3. Contestants must ensure that their posters meet the specified requirements. Any poster that does not meet the specifications will be disqualified from the competition.

 

(4) Prohibited Actions

    1. The addition of the contestant’s name, logo, or any other identifying information on the poster is prohibited, as it may affect the anonymity of the judging process.
    2. Excessive retouching (such as modifying hairstyle imperfections) is prohibited.
    3. Submitting content that does not reflect the actual hairstyle work is prohibited.
    4. Plagiarism is prohibited.

 

2. Competition Process

(1) Submission and Display

    1. Contestants must submit their printed posters to the designated area at least 1 hour before the competition begins. Late submissions will be treated as a withdrawal from the competition.
    2. After submission, the organizer will assign a unique number to each poster. Contestants are not allowed to add any marks or identifiers.
    3. Judges will evaluate the work based on the established criteria, considering technical, creative, and overall performance.

 

(2) Work Retrieval

    1. After the judging process is complete, contestants can collect their posters from the designated location at 5:00 PM on the day of the competition.
    2. Contestants must show their contestant number to verify their identity and retrieve their work. Any unclaimed works will be handled by the organizer after the deadline.
